Simple meets delicious. Whip up the perfect combo of two of life's blessings... butter and lemon. Then put some on any dish that could use an upgrade.

  • 7 oz. 200 g butter
  • ½ ½ lemon, juice and zest
  • sea salt and pepper


Instructions are for 4 servings. Please modify as needed.

  1. Melt ¼ of the butter and cut the rest into cubes. Pour the melted butter, while it's still hot, into a bowl and add the butter cubes a few at the time while beating with a hand mixer.
  2. Beat until the butter is fluffy.
  3. Mix in lemon zest and juice and beat some more.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste; add more lemon if you like.


Go a little wild with add ons. Herbs are delicious. Or, try mashing in some finely chopped anchovies filets or some olive tapenade. Both will give a salty flavor that goes well with veggies or fish dishes.

    I love my fat diet it always been in my life I feel sane that there is someone out there talking the truth about the value of real food. At some stage along the way carbs were introduced to my diet the worst thing since sliced bread. I view carbs as the lazy mans food a quick filler of no value. Give me bacon and eggs any day meat and veges. My son always demanded butter on the shopping list he detested magarine, well guess what...my son knows best and and to look at him ... he is strong toned musclar energetic ....hes a natural for real food he never liked cakes .....does like the occasional pie... I feel blessed I done and doing something right in my life ...treating myself .... good food is a blessing ... thank you for sharing and caring diet doctor ...

    Lemon butter and fish is a such a good flavor combination. I even adore clarified butter mixed with fresh squeeze lemon juice....oh my goodness....soooooo gooooood.
