Other than right here there is no place to post your question for the Drs. There's an "ask the Dr page" but no place whatsoever to type your questions. I have a question and I'm a member but I can't ask because there is nowhere to type??

Teresa, asking questions should be simpler, I agree, but it is certainly possible. Just click on one of the experts in and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. There you can ask your question. Here's Dr. Fox for example:

    Hi Nichola!

It's coffee with 1 tablespoons of (grass-fed) butter and 1 tablespoons of MCT-oil. The "drink" is blended.

Hello my name is Gary Green. I am a chiropractor and I refer my patients to your site often. What I am looking for myself is an in depth on line instruction course or manual that teaches all aspects of LCHF. Something professional level dealing with the physiology, biochemistry and research.
    Thank You.

    Hi Docs!
I am a truck driver and the two week challenge is a bit more of a challenge for us truck drivers. Most of the time we eat what is available in truck stop either at fast food chains or sit-down restaurants and what we get is neither organic or what anyone would call healthy. Truck drivers are fast becoming some of the most unhealthy, overweight people in the country. MOre and more drivers are being diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes, obesity, sleep apnea, heart disease, etc., etc.
Is there a LCHF plan that could be used by our mobile society that does not have the option or means to prepare the meals in the Challenge program? What kind of specialty plan could you create or advice could you give for eating healthy for the truck driver?
  8. Ellen
My husband is a truck driver and does tramping so is away from Monday to friday. He has a 12/24 volt cooler box and he takes his entire weeks' supply of food with him, apart from salads which he buys en route from any of the supermarkets as he goes. Grated cheese and goats cheese, boiled eggs, tinned fish and smoked mackerel fillets, a pot of cream, slice meats, pot of mayo are his staples. They all last perfectly well. He prefers me to pack them in meal sized portions so he dies t overdo it. He is 59, 5'11", 11st 10 and a 30" waist. It can be done!!

    Hi Team Diet Doctor,

If you can make a professional recommendation for a lab in London, England that does advance lipid testing, I'd really appreciate the name of the lab (this test is not performed in Switzerland!). My recent bloodwork was as predicted and my endo quickly suggested statins...sheesh. Eating LCHF since January 2016.

    Dear Rob,

Genova Diagnostics does a test ("CV Health") that, besides total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides measures LDL particle number and size. It also measures other factors that may contribute to heart disease (e.g. inflammation, homocysteine). However, you'll need to work with a practitioner to request the test for you. This could be a nutritional therapist. The BANT website helps you find one near you.

I'm a member and will probably stay for a few months. I would stay longer but the site appears all over the place to me, there doesn't seem to be any logical way to make comments, ask question, make suggestions, share stories. The lack of these options will probably drive me away from paid membership
  12. Margaret Sarlow
    Hi there,
After reading through this site (not for the first time) i'm stymied by the fact that from all your "FAQ" there isn't ONE SINGLE mention of vegan or vegetarian alternatives. Please elucidate me! Perhaps I didn't locate this. For obvious reasons, going low carb can pose challenges to non-meat eaters. Where can we get more info? If not your site, what do you recommend?
    Thank you! Margaret
  13. Helen Buchanan
    To Rob Roman,
I was given the details of this lab for advanced lipid testing, there are various blood draw locations throughout the UK including London. Hope this helps you to avoid statins, best of luck.

I started my free trial membership, but I had to cancel as I found I did not have the time to go to my computer & watch your videos, etc. If you offered a ROKU app, I could join again! I loved what I saw of the videos & all the wonderful information on your site!
  16. Irene
Just a short note to compliment Andreas and his team on one of the best websites I frequent. Loads quickly (even more quickly now!), is uncluttered and has wonderful receipes, videos and advice. It is now my main source of information and support for my new LCHF lifestyle. Thank you.
  17. Madonna
I joined your site for the free trial on Sunday. I have two meals a day - skip breakfast most days as I'm not hungry I will simply have a beef bullion hot drink. Have lunch and dinner. I have gone from 62kg to 61.8 to 61.3 to 61 and this morning 60.3. That's four days of being totally satisfied enjoying my cup of coffee with cream and the food on the list. That's even making up some of my own recipes within the guidelines.

I am an ex elite athlete and sports nutritionist and ex international model who now works as an Executive Assistant in Government. When I started working in Government I was ripped and weighed 51kg my top training weight. With all the morning teas, birthday's etc in 3 years I gained 11kg. Not being used to weight or fat on my body it was always uncomfortable even though in peoples eyes I looked good. They just couldn't see the rolls of fat under the clothes.

I am a great believer in the diet and totally agree with all you are saying. Even when competing -all the loaded carbs I was told to consume (on staff I had a dietician) it never really made me feel at my optimum.

So thanks and long live LCHF.

i get 2 to 4 audios from videos overlapping on any page i go to, and when i trun off all i can find within the video, ther are still more, would love to start the free trial, but not until i can listen to one at a time! can you help?

After learning about low carb a year back, I came across, diet doctor website, and read almost 80% of its free articles to enrich MG my knowledge while I was transforming myself. I have become a real fan of all you experts and this website. Now with this knowledge & with my own experience of LCHF I have started making a difference to people's life. Today I have started with a membership from diet doctor. I will certainly like to join the team , after sharing my CV and experience. At this moment, I would like to continue and explore all the paid content 1st to enrich myself more,, before sending my CV. I am really excited to see your this " Work with Us" section. I am from India. The countey with billions of people and maximum death due to either diabetics or CVD. But it's not due to these two disease but mainly due to lack of knowledge, I personally believe.

I am a 71 year old female. I have been addicted to sugar all my life. My daughter was diagnosed with PCOS several years ago, I was never diagnosed but when I was younger I had all the symptoms. I am a diabetic, I weigh 238 and have been at approximate weight for years. My husband passed away last April after 4 years of being home bound and I took care of him. My diabetes has not been normal for the past year. My fasting readings have been high normal but my A1C's have been very high. I have had no sugar for 4 months and my daughter's research of her PCOS brought you to me. My question is, should I take supplements. I have been eating LCHF for 3 weeks and had a rough time. On the 3 day my blood sugar started to drop, 59 the first time and dropped a few more times over that week. I had diarrhea a lot everyday for just over a week. I feel good now, I don't get hungry and I only eat 2 meals a day only LCHF. I love diet doctor and have learned so much from it.

Try again I had a whipple surgery January 4th 17th. I used the lchf program to lose 110lb before the surgery. I am asking for directions on how to eat food seeing I have no gallbladder, half a pancreas, half a stomach. Any help would be much appreciated.

I was wondering about the actual numbers of protein vs the percentages given in these recipes. Is there a way to convert them? My nephrologist said to keep the protein under 90 a day... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where can I cancel my membership?

If you paid via Paypal, you can login to and click on the last payment and on the new page, there is a cancellation link.
But hopefully someone from Dietdoctor will be able to cancel it for you, if you contact them directly. Their "contact us" link is at the very bottom of this page.

How do you calculate the grams of protein in the nutritional data you supply for each recipe? You provide the percentage of fat and protein but not the grams. If we don't know the number of grams per serving (or total grams per recipe) the percentages are not useful. I want to know how many grams of protein per serving as I want to keep my protein around 70 grams per day. Thank you!

    Hi Michelle!

We don't want to promote to much "counting" that's why we only have the carbs in gram. (that's the most important info when following LCHF)

But If you need more information then use the formula below to calculate, a bit complicated though. ;-)

    (%PROTEIN / %CARB) * gram_CARB = gram_PROTEIN
    (%FAT / %CARB) * 4/9 * gram_CARB = gram_FAT

    gram_CARB * 4 + gram_PROTEIN*4 + gram_FAT*9 = CALORIES

If we don't know the number of grams per serving (or total grams per recipe) the percentages are not useful. Hello. I just started your program tonight. Is ths the only place to ask questions? For example, I wanted to know if I may have V8 during the day? How about Kombucha? When can we start making some of your desserts? How about sugar free Jello? May I have that at any time?
    Thanks for your help.

I have asked the experts questions, but have not gotten a reply. Also, it would be nice if the reply was emailed to us so that we would know it had been responded to, instead of having to check the site daily. How long does it take to get a reply??? Thanks for all you do!

I asked this question a few days ago, but it seems to have disappeared:

I have a couple of questions......

    1. Can we eat snacks between meals in the meal planner?

    2. Can we add low carb sugars like zylotol and coconut sugar to the coffee recipe, or would this undermine the health benefits?

    Thank you

    Hi Nick!

I'm sorry, but we simply don’t yet have the resources to respond to questions in the comments or via email.

We do respond to questions about the membership, but for other questions, it would be great if you could help each other in the comment section.

    Short comment anyway. :)
We don't recommend to use sweeteners, at least not on daily can do low carb snacking between meals but if you would like to loose weight then you really should read this:

I first came upon DD some time ago when I was dabbling with Keto. Now I've made the life change and am back and I can see the real difference to the website, I love it!!. I could see instantly by the logo there were changes and I was even more happy with the helpful videos making it so much easier to give recipes a try and succeed. I am a visual person and love watching the recipes videos. Some things I wouldnt have given a try by reading the recipe but looking at the videos definitely.

This is definitely my go to website for information and I'll be coming back for more recipes.

We cant always please everyone, and people will always complain no matter what you do or how much you give. Just keep up the good work

    Regards xxx

Nick perhaps look at the information on this site and other sites regarding coconut sugar and your questions will be answered. In particular the piece on keto sweeteners here, you'll get your answer no doubt, type it in the search bar and dont stress it!!

Can I assume that my question has been ignored and that this forum is therefore pointless?

It is astounding how many comments/questions are answered either in faq's or elsewhere on this site. Please intelligent fellow health seekers, look before you ask for individual attention for your inquiry.

I trust the science based information provided here. I find the $9.00/month for a membership well worth it. Although I could have taken the info and recipes I needed in the 30 day trial I continue month to month to support Diet Doctor. No ads!!!! Wow! Thank you.

Hi! I've researched the keto diet and found your site to be the BEST! I'm interested in the 2-week challenge and plan to become full member following that. I do have a ????? though. I don't have a gallbladder and winder if I can follow your plan directly or will I need to make adjustments? Thank you!😄

Hello, Dr Eric recommends 20 carbs overall, but I see most people on Keto do 20 Net Carbs. I am not sure what I should do. I have about 85lbs to lose and I have a sugar addiction, I'm literally frightened that if I don't stick to 20 grams of carb then I will not lose weight...or that it will be too small of an amount.
  52. Paula
If I don't eat all the fat that is included in the recipes, and this leaving me hungry, should I still lose weight.
