Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1 cup 240 ml boiling water
This recipe has been added to the shopping list.

Instructions

  1. Place butter, spices and instant coffee in a deep bowl to use with an immersion blender. Alternatively, you can put the ingredients directly into the jar of a blender.
  2. Add boiling water and blend for 20–30 seconds until a fine foam has formed.
  3. Pour into a cup and sprinkle some cinnamon or pumpkin spice on top. Serve immediately!
  4. It's even more delicious with a dollop of whipped heavy cream on top.

Tip

The instant coffee can be replaced with a shot of espresso; just add less of the hot water. The latte can also be made coffee and caffeine free. The butter and pumpkin spice gives it a wonderfully rich flavor, so whether you go with “high octane” coffee, or decaf – this is going to be your go-to drink this fall!

Thanks for the recipe! Where is the 2 carbs coming from? With the ingredients listed above the drink should be closer to 0.

I don't use cream in my coffee, fats are the only "milk" i need! So my coffee don't have carbs, but there are 2 kcal from coffee.

My question too....where are the 2 Gms carbs coming from? The recipe does not include any dairy. Ingredients are only coffee, water, spice.

Spice has carbs...and depend which kind of coffee powder you use, there might be carbs in it too.

Very flavourful, but the last few sips were pretty gritty with all the spices at the bottom of my cup.

Xander, Use GRAS (safe for internal use, I only use doTERRA) essential oils instead of the spice....so healthy & delish w/o the grit!!

That sounds like it would be good! It may get too watered down though.

Cannot wait to try this Pumpkin coffee recipe! Looks delicious. I’m going to substitute the instant for regular espresso. ☕️
