That's already how I drink my coffee, so yay!

I do it the lazy way. I buy bottled coffee by the case and have it iced with heavy cream every morning.
I'll try to get motivated enough to brew it myself! I guess it would taste better.

Here is our guide to sweeteners - https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto/sweeteners

In general though, we recommend against drinking sweetened beverages.

I pre freeze small containers of ice coffee with my coconut milk, flavouring and erythritol. Then throw cold coffee and my frozen mix into my ninja and blitz. A coffee slushy ! My favourite summer treat. Low calorie and keto!

This sounds delicious but I’m afraid with the calories and net carbs for the Keto diet. Isn’t 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream too many calories and net carbs. How many net carbs and calories is this iced coffee?

The 2g in the green circle in the recipe picture indicates 2g net carbs. For calories and other macro information, click the Nutrition+ tab under the list of ingredients. In Keto, we do not recommend counting calories.

Could I use half and half instead of heavy cream

Could I use half and half instead of heavy cream

Heavy cream is recommended because it is lower carb and higher fat than half and half. For many people, the lactose in the half and half would affect blood sugar and insulin too much.

I wish I had never read this recipe….I have become addicted to these! I use two shots of expresso, three ice cubes, a dash of vanilla essence and a dash of cream. To die for!

Can i use unsweetened almond milk?

Yes, that would be fine, but it may change the carb count a bit.

"Keto" refers to percentages of macros, not specific ingredients. This has 93% fat!

For better tasting coffee, I suggest you try the "cold brew" method that many famous brands use (like the famous mermaid-lady brand). It's super easy and you don't get any of the bitterness from a cold, hot-brewed coffee.

Just add coffee grounds to cold water and let it "brew" in the fridge for 8h (or more; make it the night before). Then strain - I use an aero press but others use cheese cloth. I find it as good as my morning coffee and it doesn't need cream or sweetener but these are optional. I also suggest adding more coffee grounds than a usual drink would require. I use decaf so I can drink this in the afternoon.

Many easy to follow recipes are available online. Once you do cold brew, you will never drink a cold, hot-brewed coffee again.

All heavy cream has carbs. (Manufacturers are allowed to round down on their labels when the carbs are less than 1 per serving.) Heavy cream has about half a carb per tablespoon. There are 4 tablespoons in 1/4 cup, so that gives you 2 carbs.

This coffee is primarily fat with no protein. Without protein, you may find yourself hungry before your next meal. For some, this will be sufficient for breakfast, others will need to add protein.

So I am new to keto, if I have this and and 2 keto egg muffins, will this be to much for breakfast. Also, of course, I like my coffee a little sweeter, how would it change weight loss if I add Truvia, and a small doppler of Ready whip extra creamy? It contains 0 fat, 0 carbs. I just worried of eating to much.
