Cottage cheese ranch dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup (7½ oz.) 240 ml (210 g) cottage cheese
- ¼ cup (1½ oz.) 60 ml (45 g) Greek yogurt (4% fat) or sour cream
- ¼ cup (1⁄8 oz.) 60 ml (4 g) fresh parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp fresh chives chopped
- 1 tbsp 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp ½ tsp garlic powder
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, parsley, dill, chives, lemon juice, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with additional fresh herbs, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
- Serve with cottage cheese chips, fresh vegetables, or as a spread for low-carb wraps and sandwiches.
Tip
For an extra creamy ranch dip, blend in 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
Variation
For a brighter, tangier flavor, increase the lemon juice. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika for a subtle kick.
Serving suggestion
Serve with cucumber slices, celery sticks, bell pepper strips, radishes, broccoli florets, or cottage cheese chips. This ranch dip also makes a delicious spread for burgers, sandwiches, lettuce wraps, or grilled chicken.
