A fresh and tasty seafood salad with shrimp and salmon that are excellent sources of protein. When avocado, mayonnaise and sour cream are added, the combination of healthy fats make this an excellent keto meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450 g cooked salmon, bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb 450 g cooked shrimp, chopped
  • ½ cup 125 ml avocado, choppedavocados, chopped
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ cup 125 ml mayonnaise
  • ½ cup 125 ml sour cream
  • 1 1 garlic clovegarlic cloves
  • 1 tsp 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ¼ cup 60 ml red onion, finely mincedred onions, finely minced
  • 13 cup 75 ml cucumber, chopped
  • 13 cup 75 ml tomato, choppedtomatoes, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Instructions are for 6 servings. Please modify as needed.

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper and minced onion. Set aside.
  2. In a larger bowl, toss together salmon, shrimp, avocado, cucumber and tomato.
  3. Pour mayonnaise dressing over the seafood and vegetables and toss gently to combine.
  4. Let chill 20 to 30 minutes before serving.

    Why classify this as moderate low carb when there's 3g .net listed. Sounds keto to me. Please educate me.

    I don't want to sound negative but can you please NOT put things like avocados, peppers, onions, salt, tomatoes and cucumber etc in ml. These are solids that we can't measure like that. I have no idea how to change that to grams and in the uk the whole cup thing just doesn't work. Looks like a delicious salad though.

    I agree about the measurements.. and please clarify what exactly a serving is. I have seen on several recipes '1 serving' ...well what is a serving? Cup? 1/2 cup?

    That depends on the final volume of the finished dish, which can vary based on several factors. In this case, 1 serving is 1/6 of the final dish. You can divide into 6 equal servings or use a scale to divide by weight.

    This was a GREAT dinner! It was simple and filling! I didn’t have sour cream so I added a little more mayo and it worked fine!

    Yum! Scales down to a smaller size easily. I did not have any cucumbers on hand, and it was still delicious. Great summer dish!
