Instructions

Instructions are for 1 serving. Please modify as needed.

  1. Cut the sausages in half lengthwise so they will cook faster. Heat up a frying pan with butter and place sausages in pan once the butter has melted. Alternatively, you can grill them for a couple of minutes on both sides. Fry or grill until browned.
  2. Serve together with sauerkraut and mustard. Garnish with parsley for a splash of color.

Serving suggestions

If you would like to add some more fat to this dish it goes perfectly with mayonnaise. Why not mix it with some tomato paste for a nice ketchup vibe.

I wanted to take the Sauerkraut up a notch so after browning the sausages I carmalized a diced onion in with them. Then added drained Sauerkraut, a couple cups of chicken, paprika, caraway seeds, and dried dill. After letting it boil down for an hour or so.

    Delish!

Shop made sauerkraut? That's not available where I am, I don't even know what it is...

Most unlike you to not include a recipe for the accompaniment. Please remember not everyone lives in America even though it's clear most of your recipes are geared up for Americans and American tastes

There are plenty of sauerkraut recipes online. It is basically just fermented cabbage. Check out the pioneer woman's recipe online. It is a really easy and simple recipe. https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/recipes/a100555/how-to-m...

90% sausage. We’re on earth do I find that?

This means any smoked sausage that's at least 90% meat, as in fewer fillers or extra ingredients.
