Cottage cheese chips
Ingredients
- 1 cup (7½ oz.) 240 ml (210 g) cottage cheese
- ½ cup 120 ml Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the cottage cheese in a fine-mesh sieve and let it drain for 20–30 minutes.
- Gently mash the drained cottage cheese with a fork until mostly smooth. Alternatively, briefly process it in a food processor.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet for each chip, leaving space between each mound.
- Flatten each mound into a thin circle using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a glass.
- Sprinkle the chips with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the edges are deep golden brown.
- Let the chips cool completely on the baking sheet before serving. They will continue to crisp as they cool.
Tips:
If the cheese has too much liquid, it will not be crispy.
Larger curds in the cheese will make the chips chewy.
If your parchment paper is of lower quality, brush it with some olive oil. This will prevent sticking.
