I understand the removal of sugar and processed foods from our diets but I do not under stand (or agree with) the amount of fats that keto diet suggests. How can a Dr even go this route? I'm going to guess few Dr's (heart surgeons in particular) agree with this. Keto just seems like another fad diet. I'm sure it will lose weight for people just like every other diet does. Is there sufficient long term days to even go by?

Those that are terrified of eating HEALTHY fats are well indoctrinated by the foolish line of horse pucky science perpetrated on the USA public by Ansel Keyes and George McGoverns health committee. Eating industrial seed oils and fats in combination with grains and sugars increases the inflammation at the cellular level and tiny cracks and lesions in arteries. SUGAR and grains are the culprit one should be terrified of NOT natural unprocessed saturated fats eaten in the ketogenic manner.

Well GARY I felet exactly like you because whenever you read about Keto it always depicted as VERY unhealthy because of the words high fat. But it actually it isn’t. I thought I was going to find out more about it. I don’t eat as much fat as people think but I eat a lot of THE GOOD FAT! That’s what it is. I read and research A LOT on Keto( & I must say I did a lot) before I decided to embark on it and try. This year around in the middle of January I decided to try. I tried it because I was totally FED UP after I’ve I tried everything to make my T-2 under control, but it wouldn’t. I was so tired😓 and I became more and more unwell, it seems, because of all the medications Doctors KEPT on adding just to make my sugar go down or “make me fell better”, because you too must know that EVERY medications has it’s own side effects, right? Let me tell you That those too are not pleasant at all.
Anyway, as I mentioned earlier I thought I go and try it, what have I got to loose, right? I was on it for roughly 2& half months. I lost 10 kg. I went to see my Doctors recently to talk about all the results of my blood tests and he couldn’t believe it, neither did I. ALL of them came back NORMAL and the best thing is I DON’T have DIABETES anymore. They have decided to take me out of all the medications I was on including Insulins.
