Dear Andreas,

My daughter got me on your 2-week challenge and I am very grateful for that! I have had weight problems for a long time, trying everything, with only short term success.

So I tried your no carbs – keto, and must say, it worked for me! I lost over 5 kg (11 lbs) in those 2 weeks and am really happy about that.

I will kept all your recipes, however, was only able to cook a few (I am working full time and get home late). So I improvised most of the time, sticking to carb-free food and not finding it difficult. So I will continue on that line, but will do my own thing mostly.

Anyway, with your help I got off to a good start and I thank you for that! ?

Kind regards,
Annette

Hi Andreas,

I found the low-carb challenge helpful to get me back on track after having “lost my way” over the last few months… Unfortunately I had an unplanned dental surgery and an infection resulted from that. I am on antibiotics and haven’t lost any weight, nor did the tape measurement change… I did stick it out though, and am very proud of myself for that!

I hope that once my infection and antibiotic treatment is over my weight will go down. It was very frustrating… and I am still struggling with some carb cravings, but less and less…

I am going to plan on lengthening my “fasting time” and have started to eat two meals a day, last meal around 3 pm whenever I don’t have evening dinner plans. Maybe this will also help my weight go down…

In any case, I find your site helpful and through it I did lose 14 kg (31 lbs) in one year, before going off track… and want to lose that same amount again.

Any thoughts or helpful advice is appreciated!
Claire

The food feels almost sinful. I liked most but discovered I do not care for pesto. I was a little disappointed with the small amount of weight loss, just 3 lbs (1 kg) in two weeks. I am going to try one more week to see if it continues. I followed nearly all recipes, but substituted chicken for fish as I have an aversion to fish. I am hoping for a bit more weight loss this next week.

Vicky

Hi Andreas,

I thought the challenge was brilliant. I didn’t lose as much weight as I would have liked but I broke the rules! Following the plan has set me on a path. I have been eating low carb for years but these recipes were the simplest and the easiest to follow and I felt no hunger between meals. Most days I only have lunch and dinner. I am very happy to live like this for the rest of my life. I will tell my friends about it. Have posted to FB.

Thank you,
Susan

I love the recipes, great flavour! Surprisingly very good. I lost 2.5 pounds (1 kg) and 4 inches (10 cm) in my first two weeks. I do go to the gym four times a week so I think that helped. Looking forward to continuing with the recipes.

Cheryl

I have only lost 1 lb (0.5 kg) in two weeks!! But I have not followed it exactly. But I have followed all principles. I do feel better for sure. I have arthritis in my feet and it is so much better.

It was a lot of cooking so some days I just went with low carb, low sugar. I am still shocked I did not lose more. I hardly eat any sugar. No processed foods or breads.

Thanks so much,
Debra

Hi Andreas,

I found the 2-week challenge really easy to do and have lost 5 kg (11 lbs) wow, its taken me over 20 something years to do this, I did still have a few naughty things but generally stuck to the plan. Had tried all sorts of things in the past and didn’t stick to them. For some reason this time it has worked, yay. I’ve been lucky that I don’t have a sweet tooth to start with so I’m sure that helped a lot.

Thank you for your programme and all the work your team have done, I shall keep going with this plan until I get to my ideal weight which is about 5 kg (11 lbs) away. I have recommended your programme to friends as well.

Regards,
Arlene

I love the low-carb challenge. I’ve lost 7 lbs (3 kg) in two weeks. I’m eating real food again, nothing processed. I like it simple and some of the recipes were perfect, others a little too complicated. I’m continuing for 30 days then reassess. My goal is another 7 pounds (3 kg) thrn a maintenance of 100 carbs or less.

Joey

I took the two-week diet challenge and I am so very delighted with the results. I lost a total of 12 pounds (5 kg)!!! That is so wonderful especially for a 66-year old lady. I have tried every single diet that you can think of and this one has actually worked.

Thank you so very much for your help,
Nancy

OH, YES – we loved it, found it relatively simple, if you were organised and had the shopping done correctly.

Both of us will definitely continue, and have had good weight losses.

THANK YOU,
Geoff and Lois

Hello Dr. Eenfeldt,

I was favourably impressed with the low-carb challenge. The recipes were delicious, and there was a visible change in my body. It worked out quite well for me with one exception; I am a poor student, and meat is expensive. If I continue, I will definitely look at the other recipe options, and see if there are some less meaty methods of continuing the low-carb, low-sugar eating habits that I’ve started to form. Thank you for making the challenge available!

Cheers,
Carey

Hi there,

I started on a Wed so I’m not quite at the end of two weeks, but I’m 3 kg (7 lbs) down and feel pretty good now ;) I’ve done no exercise so it seems crazy.

I almost gave up on day 2-3 because I felt awful and suddenly thought it was ridiculous to think I could cut out a whole food group. But I pushed through and on day 4 I experienced this amazing mental clarity. I’d heard about it but didn’t expect to be so so lucid. My husband was laughing at me because I was walking around looking at my hands, waving them around… just amazed at how ‘REAL’ they seemed. That clarity has mostly stayed.

One thing I’ve struggled with and still am not clear on is finding information about how to get your sodium, potassium and magnesium levels right. For example, how much sodium is in salt? How much of each do you need and in what quantities? How do you get this out of normal foods? How do you supplement if you dont hit the mark with your diet?

My goal is now is to stay in ketosis for a month, then re-evaluate after this. Diet Doctor has been a great help. Your emails are really good, they give depth and variety of information.

Thanks heaps,
Nanise
