I really enjoyed the low-carb challenge. So much that I went ahead and signed up for the monthly meal plans.

I lost 13 pounds (6 kg) and 5 inches (13 cm) in my waist. I wasn’t hungry. The only issue I had was ensuring I met all my macros and not going over on all of them to include fat, protein and calories.

Some of the meal plans being on top of each other that may have been high in protein made it difficult. I still managed and loved the results.

Hi,

I’ve really enjoyed the recipes and meals. We have almost completed week one, however, I am finding that my eczema is really reacting, I think to the increased dairy. I am going to try switching out some of the cream for coconut cream/oil where I can and have more avocado.

What would you recommend for dairy sensitivity/inflammation?

Hi Andreas!

I think the LCHF approach is amazing and has been a true revelation for me. I am 62 and very active – I swim 1.5 km (1 mile) most days but have struggled with my weight. It has felt that I have been fighting my own body – and of course losing!

Since I have been on this eating regimen (I’m not calling it a diet as I will eat this way for the rest of my life), my appetite has dropped remarkably and I have generally not felt hungry much of the time. I feel like I am working with my body now and have lost 4.5 kg (10 lbs) in the last two weeks without any great restriction or suffering.

Thanks so much for setting up the Diet Doctor site with its great recipes and inspiring videos. Sensational!!

Both my husband and I took the challenge. Loved all the meals, both lost 7 lbs (3 kg) and feel really well. First few days we both suffered with mild headaches but other than that no side effects.

Have not once felt hungry or the need to ‘cheat’. Have now become a member and hopefully lose another 20 lbs (9 kg).

Thank you Diet Doctor, I am 68 and dieted all my life, this is the first time I have enjoyed it!

Good morning!

I will have to say the challenge was a significant help and enjoyed most of the recipes.

I found your website while researching LCHF recommended by my doctor I had lost 100 lbs (45 kg) after being overweight all of my life and having been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in 1995, I finally got tired of living this way.

The doctor I work with helped me do that using a ketogenic diet. After the weight loss, and no longer needing insulin, which I have maintained for 4 years, I was noticing my weight starting to creep up again, added carbs back to my diet, I was ready to do another round of weight loss with him just to get the last 20 lbs (9 kg) off. He recommended that I do my own research and highly recommended the LCHF diet.

I have been thrilled with what I have learned on your website. I am much more educated on how my body works and now understand how to better take care of myself. I have been eating LCHF for about 6 weeks and added intermittent fasting, 16:8, as well as 24-hour fast several days a week.

I have lost 15 lbs (7 kg) and my blood sugar was 92 mg/dl (5.1 mmol/L) yesterday. I haven’t had a fasting morning BS below 100 mg/dl (5.6 mmol/L) ever! I currently feel great and I am going to continue on LCHF indefinitely.

I haven’t set a goal weight yet because I still believe I can lose another 15 lbs (7 kg). I also have my wife eating LCHF and doing IF as well and hoping it will be a great success for her.

Thank you for what you have given. It has been a simple, clear, understanding how to live a life free from drugs, fat, and hopefully disease.
