As you can see, bread is by far the food people miss the most, followed by dessert/sweets and beer. Below are our best suggestions for low-carb versions of these foods.

Be a bit careful with desserts even if they are low carb, as these foods can slow down your weight loss if you have them frequently.
If you like drinking beer, I recommend trying wine instead. It’s good too, and has way fewer carbs.

What about bread made out of resistant starch like potato starch or high amylose wheat/corn?
Thanks,
I don't miss bread or cereals anymore: I crave meat and fat. And the 180lb me now wonders how the 300lb me could have let me go so far off track.
I also have found that my predilection for sugar, wheat, bread, etc., has waned over time. But even after almost three years of exclusively eating low carb except for rare exceptions (parties, vacation, anniversaries) , I find the siren call of high carb still is there. It's just reduced.
I might change my mind though if I had to give up bacon, fish or asparagus . . .
However, after taking multiple insulins, like 4 times a day for over 25 years, taking NONE now is worth the sacrifice of a few favorite foods. LCHF works for me!
