“My Doctor Was Blown Away with My Results”

Before and after

This is what happened after Alfonso went on a ketogenic diet. Hint! His doctor couldn’t believe that he achieved such great results by eating fats and not exercising:

Hello and thank you for a great website and newsletters.

My story is I am an OTR truck driver since 27 years, I’m 56. I was your typical truck driver, 75 lbs (34 kg) overweight at 250 lbs (113 kg) at one point. 10 years of taking meds for high blood pressure, high triglycerides, high cholesterol, prostate issues and was pre-diabetic with an HbA1C at 6.3.

On the 9th of August 2015 I went hard core LCHF-ketogenic-paleo lifestyle, and no grains, sugar or sweets and I stopped taking all my meds (4). By late February 2016 I lost 65 lbs (29 kg). Had normal blood pressure.

I’ve been seeing my doctor for 10 years, every 3 months for blood test results and to adjust meds. On the 2nd of July 2016 my doctor was blown away with my results. My blood pressure was normal from 155/98 to 127/76, triglycerides 276 down to 70, cholesterol 231 down to 170 and a big improvement on prostate issues, HbA1C at 5.4, and down to 185 lbs (84 kg) ( I’m 5’11” – 180 cm).

He had trouble believing I quit all meds and eat fats and do very little exercise to get these results. I told him, “But blood test results don’t lie, so I’ll see you in 3 months for some more improved results”? He said “No! “My insurance won’t pay for blood test, ” Why? “Cause you are now very healthy”. “No need to see you, only once a year for a regular check up”.

I give a big thank you to Kevin Rutherford. He is on Sirius XM radio radio trucking channel. A show for improving Business for the single truck owner operator. He started talking about health in 1-15, he is now an N.T.P. (Nutrional Therapy Practitioner). Two shows out of the week is now about health and nutrition. He is my business/financial guru advisor, besides Dave Ramsey. That is now my health consultant that has led me to great health and your website.

Thank you,
Alfonso

It would be nice to know how much he is saving on drugs that he no longer needs?

I'm all for taking control of one's health, but stopping meds, especially cold turkey (pardon the pun,) without doctor's knowledge or guidance is foolish and risky.
Glad his numbers are all good, though.

It's wonderful to hear of your success. I believe we can improve our health by making smart choices and taking charge of our own health. Educating ourselves is part of this process, as is a willingness to change what isn't working. Congratulations on your progress!

@Meridith. Dont condenm others for doctoring themselves. Yes take control of your health! Doctors are the furthest option and opinion that ppl with weight loss goals should exercise, drugs and vaccines are more foolish and more high risk than "quitting prescibed drugs cold turkey". Quit putting doctors and drugs on a pedastal.
