What kind of method has the best outcome in type 2 diabetes reversal? Is it surgery, a low-calorie diet, or a low-carb diet? And what does the long-term effect look like for the different options?
Earlier this year at the Low Carb Denver 2019 conference, Dr. Sarah Hallberg gave an impressive presentation about different studies comparing the different methods to type 2 diabetes reversal.

Dr. Sarah Hallberg: So let’s look at these three options for reversal: surgery, very low-calorie diet and low-carb. So the sleeve and the bypass data is coming from the STAMPEDE trial. Very low-calorie diet is coming from the DiRECT trial. And the purple, the low-carb, is coming from our trial.
This website has lots of good information and support on how to eat far fewer sugars; this website has links where you can find doctors who support this type of "low-carb" work: you could look and see if there are doctors in your area to help you both with this; https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/doctors
All the people we know; who have given up sugars and starches; feel much better for doing it; diabetics need fewer medicines; in fact some can give up the medicines completely; however this needs to be done with care; to avoid dropping the blood sugar too low; too quickly; so if one starts this journey, be sure to have a sugar supply close to hand; lest one feel a "hypo" coming on
The information Paul shared is awesome (thank you Paul!).
