I started the keto challenge wondering how I would survive without snacks and six meals a day and how I would manage a two-week period where eating out was essential. To my delight, I found that without too much effort I was easily able to negotiate eating out and as the first week passed and I watched more and more tips from I got better at removing accidental carb intake and making better choices at mealtime.

I lost 4 pounds (2 kilos) over the challenge (would have been more had I stopped snacking on nuts and some fake low-carb treats) and by the Saturday of week two I found myself excited and looking forward to continuing the keto journey. I absolutely love how easy the meal planner and recipes are to use. The lower number of ingredients in most recipes makes it faster and simpler to prepare delicious and healthy meals. I’m 58 and live in Melbourne, Australia. I have tried a bunch of different weight-loss programs with very little result. I read about keto and decided to give it a try. This month, February, in Australia is Febfast. I decided to no longer drink alcohol for the month. Combining no alcohol and keto has allowed me to lose around 4 kilos (9 pounds) in less than three weeks. I’m aiming for a 6 kilo- (13 pound) drop which is about 6% of my body mass. The thing I love about keto is that you get to eat stuff like bacon and eggs for breakfast. I’m not missing pasta, sugar, rice, bread etc. The only thing I do miss is fruit – things like bananas, grapes etc. I do sneak these every now and then – just don’t be telling anyone!

This has to be the easiest low-stress effective way to lose weight permanently on this planet.

Then I would add its easy to follow. Third, you don’t get hungry between meals because they are so satisfying. The shopping lists are excellent. The number of servings is one-click adjustable. Recipes are great and a huge selection. Meal plans are very helpful. So are the videos and question and answers. All in all a very worthwhile endeavor. And the site is loaded with information.

I thought the keto challenge was a great support to help start a safe and effective diet. As a woman with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), I struggle with weight loss, but this challenge helped guide me along through its helpful hints and tasty recipes! I decided to continue the challenge another two weeks, because of my success and the awesome food choices. As a Southern girl from Tennessee, we have our share of tempting home-style comfort foods, but these keto alternative food choices are just as satisfying and healthy too!
