Jason Fung says in his book „The obesity code“ that you don’t get tired when waterfasting, you actually gain energy. Then why is it that I am getting tired and a kind of brainfog when fasting? On day 4 now. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos on waterfasting and a lot of people tend to suffer from feeling weak and tired when fasting.

You may wish to incorporate bone broth for the electrolytes.

I am 77. I started fasting on 24-04-2019 at 5-30pm. It is 16 /8. 11 days ago I started to do push up for 2 days with a rest on 3rd day with 20 in a row. Now I am able to do 55 push ups in a row in fast window i.e in the morning. I could do 1000 push-ups on 25th of this month in 40 sets. Previously I was able to do 30 bench dips. Today did 50 bench dips in a row. It is a result of water-fasting 16/8.

    .

I do not have any research or information indicating that keto would be a bad idea. If you are a kidney transplant patient, please work with your nephrologist on your protein needs.
