Patricia got inspired by the Diet Doctor website. Not only did she lose a lot of weight, as a bonus her lifelong digestive issues disappeared!

Here’s her story:

The Email

Hi!

I want to thank you for the great inspiration from your website.

I started LCHF about 2 years ago and have lost 68 lbs (31 kg)! I’ve always had GI issues, bloating and sometimes terrible cramps, and often had to stay home from work.

Since I started LCHF, I haven’t had any GI problems and I’ve probably only had two or three sick days due to common illness in two years.

When I embarked on this I made sure that this would not be a diet, but a new lifestyle. It’s not complicated to go out for lunch as I often do, just skip the carbohydrates :)

I’ve finally also been able to start exercising, mostly running for me. A year ago I when I tried to run I almost died after a minute. Nowadays, I run three times a week and have reached my goal of running 10 km!

Thank you again Diet Doctor for my new lifestyle!

Congratulations on your fantastic health and weight improvements, Patricia!

Getting rid of GI issues like bloating and cramping is one of the most common side effects of an LCHF diet, but it’s still always great to hear about it.

Wow, great job! You look completely different. Do you have to wear a name tag so that your friends can still recognize you?

Fantastic about the success, with relieving GI symptoms and weight loss! Best with the continued success.

I seem to be in a similar boat concerning a GI condition. Mine is less traditional, with symptoms being more extreme it seems and with trigger foods being carbohydrates and possibly soy, and maybe pork. It's a work in progress. My current thinking is that the possible soy allergy extends to soy meal fed to live stock, which in turn effects my grumpy gut. Time will tell, but I'm enjoying the current progress made, with weight loss seen, around 20lbs, and healthier gut Energy levels have improved too, which is so nice!
