The herb in the picture is not parsley. I think it may be Rosemary but I know it is definitely not parsley. :)

You're right, the picture shows fresh thyme. Parsley doesn't even appear to be in the butter either. I get so frustrated with this website because the photos often do not match the actual recipe, or the instructions do not match the ingredients.

Hi, Remember the picture is not the recipe. I'm sure, however, that you can use any fresh herb you desire. I use sage for chicken and turkey and parsley for fish and beef.

To me, the herb in the butter is parsley, and thyme is on the side.

Half a tablespoon of garlic powder seems excessive, considering there is a clove of garlic already in the recipe.

I used fresh chives instead of parsley. It was very good.

They indicate how many servings but it would also be helpful if they provided the amount of each serving...such as 1 tbs, 1 1/2 cup etc.

Are you starting with salted butter and then adding in more salt, or unsalted butter? Making lamb chops tonight and this sounds wonderful

Standard recipe convention calls for unsalted butter unless otherwise specified.

I am going to use this tonight to baste my chicken with and use lemon thyme and parsley.

Saturated fat is not bad for us. You can read more about that in our guide here.

We have not tested this recipe with lime. Lime and lemon don't always complement the same foods so you may not be happy with this with lime in it.

The recipe does not say whether to start with salted or unsalted butter. I used salted butter and it seemed too salty tasting (but I also dry-brine my steaks, so that doesn't help).

Also, when this herb butter is in it's soft state, it has a slightly strange mouth-feel. Not sure if it's from the garlic powder or if it's just small crystals of butter fat. I was thinking of swapping out the garlic powder for a garlic-flavored oil or maybe a roasted garlic paste.
    Thoughts, anyone?

This should stay good in the fridge for a week or more!

Most of your recipes have garlic, onion and tomatoes. I love your website but I have more allergies for food including those three basic ingredients. It will be nice to see substitutes for people like me. No Milk or cheese or legumes. Low FODMAP, Keto, Gluten Free, and more food allergies. Thank you.
