About Diet Doctor

Is Diet Doctor Free?

Is Diet Doctor a free website? Yes and no. Everything that’s needed to revolutionize your health and weight is free forever. And we’re adding more free stuff every single day.

Here are just a few examples of things that are free forever:

However we also need to pay fair wages to our seven employees and many freelancers. And to fuel our rapid growth, to get closer to our long-term purpose of empowering people everywhere to revolutionize their health.

No Conflicts of Interest

We refuse to be funded by corporate interests (like the food or pharmaceutical industries). That could quickly make us part of the problem, instead of the solution!

We also dislike ads and detest processed edible products with untrue health claims. We’ll never sell those, ever. Selling supplements using inflated health benefits is not great either. All of these things reduce credibility. So we do none of them.

Funded by the People

Instead we’ve chosen to be fully funded by people who want to support our mission.

Our funding comes from our members – over 17,000 people as of August 2016 – who support us with $9 per month. Every single dollar is used to finance the organization and grow it, to be able to help more people.

This way we’re only interested in providing people like you with the most trustworthy, easy-to-understand and inspirational content we can, for revolutionizing your health.

Membership gives you immediate access to extra premium material like video courses, high-quality interviews, presentations, movies and the ability to get your personal questions answered by the top experts in the world.

Oh, and you can try it out one month for free >

I have a question, how does the low carb high fat diet deal with cholesterol issues?

I mean if you have a cholesterol problem and you take cholesterol medications do you really want to consume foods high in fat and cholesterol??

    Thanks,

    Michael

  2. Generally an LCHF diet actually improves cholesterol profiles. You get (on average) higher, better HDL, lower triglycerides and larger, fluffier LDL particles. So only focusing on total cholesterol or LDL can be very misleading and give a very narrow view that misses the big picture.

You need to look at the complete picture and when you – in addition to the above – add in the effect on body weight, blood glucose and blood pressure the complete risk profile for people eating LCHF can be vastly improved.

That means it can statistically be a fantastic idea for many people to eat an LCHF diet, whether they are taking cholesterol medication or not.

    Hi there,
I’ve been hanging around your wonderful site for some time now and pose a question.

I subscribe to Adobe Systems Creative Cloud to access up to date versions of their photography software. The subscription for that is US $9.95 per month but in their wisdom, Adobe have decided to charge we Aussies the $9.95 in Aussie dollars rather than a 35% (approx) premium to US dollars. Without sounding like a penny pincher, is there any way the Dietdoctor.com subscription could be adjusted to AUD $9.00 instead of $9.00 + 35% premium which is what it is currently?

I for one would be more likely to remain a subscriber and member of diet doctor.com rather than jumping in and out intermittently.
    Thanks
    Tony Lewis

I started an exercise program and now want to start strict LCHF but after I went for a check up and got back my blood work I am a bit worried to start.
My triglycerides lipid reading is on the high side
    297-(mg%) triglycerides
    150-(mg%) total Cholesterol
    50-(mg%) HDL-C
    40.6-(mg%) LDL-C
is there a way of doing LCHF strictly and reduce my triglycerides as well?

  6. Hi Terry!

For most people triglycerides will drop (dramatically) with LCHF! :)

Hello Andreas, here is the answer I posted on Ivor sharing of your new video... I sent you a private message on FB as well.. "Hello Ivor, it would be nice if Andreas Eenfeldt, (sorry I cannot call him Doctor).... he has the title all right... when he will make is videos interviews freely available, then yes. Until then he is just another businessman on a niche market. I believe that the quality of the information that he provides supersedes for the many, the economic needs of his structures. Right now he is just riding on the fame of others who share freely so much to all of us."

Honestly, yes you provides 7 or more jobs, and the social costs on salaries are expensive in Sweden. Regardless, I still believe that the quality of your interviews could be conducted at a much lower cost via Skype or other means. I'm in business too... So your administrative costs babbles will not impress me. 13,000+ members... when you could be addressing millions with your interviews... and probably make even more money by the rebounds....

I have a question, I am wanting to start this diet but my husband is concerned that the inflammation I currently deal with will be increased because of all the meat. Also I did the Atkins diet years ago and lost weight and then regained it (my fault) but trying to do the Atkins diet again I wasn't able to lose the weight, is this common and will I experience the same thing doing this plan?

  11. Hi Tina!

We believe this diet in most cases works well against inflammation. :)

It's impossible to know how this diet will work for you. You have to try it out. If it works well we recommend that you continue to eat LCHF forever. :)

Tina, One of the unexpected (for me) results of this diet is that my muscle stiffness and fatigue caused by inflammation disappeared completely after following the diet for only about a week. If for no other reason, I would continue this way of eating. I don't think this is stressed enough in the guide as it was a total (and awesome!) surprise to me. I eat plenty of meat, with fat, and over the past 6 months have lost 30lbs, am no longer pre-diabetic, and while my total cholesterol did go up, all other cholesterol markers significantly improved. (My cholesterol wasn't a problem before I started the diet.) I recommended the diet to a friend who suffered from even worse muscle pain including arthritis and after two weeks, she found the improvement enough to continue to eat LCHF and says she is getting better all the time. We are both in our early 60's and this is HUGE in terms of quality of life.

Thank you for all of your team's hard work, excellent information, and recipes. I have two asks - one if there is a way to donate money to your work (a foundation) in addition to the monthly fee? two - my American friends are constantly posting cooking short videos on Facebook. I would share/post Diet Doctor cooking videos on my FB page if these were available to counter act all the horrible carb-filled recipes in these videos I see in my daily stream (one of the worst ones was a "healthy" cake made with a low fat mix and diet 7up! gah!). These short videos auto-play on FB and seem to really capture people's attention. They usually have text on them so no sound is necessary to understand how to make the food. Thanks much!

Wonderful idea and I personally follow a diet that is similar. As usual money is evolved although for understandable reasons. However not every one who seriously needs this for their lives to be great can afford even the small amount. I can however won't. Good luck.

Really? Show me a site that has more free stuff, with no ads, and no products. And you are complaining that there's an OPTIONAL membership. Do you want them to work for free?

Can I do this diet and take weight loss pills? I am thinking on buying the "Thermogenic weight loss. Diet pill that works fast."
Also, I am following the app MyFitnessPal and according to it most of the meals are unhealthy or high in calories which gives me a result of not losing weight.
If I start it at any day and time and just to follow the menue for that day or should i start it on Sunday? Can I replace meals for the ones of anothee day?
Too many questions, I hope I can get a reply.
    Thanks for helping us out!
