Here are new fantastic stories from the people who’ve taken the challenge:
Lost 5 lbs (2 kg) so far. I am 34 years young jajaja 5’2 (157 cm) and currently weight 113 lbs (51 kg) started 2 weeks ago at 118 lbs (54 kg). Total weight loss of -5 lbs (2 kg).
I had a baby about a year and a half ago and thought I would never get back to my pre-baby weight and figure, and now I am. I plan to stick with the plan as a lifestyle more than a diet and hope get to my “PRIME” youth weight of 108 lbs (49 kg). FEELING AWESOME!
Hi to the Diet Doctor team.
Before my daughter got me on this I had already cut out all bread and had started losing weight – approx. 1 kg (2 lbs) per week. That was for 2 weeks. So now after 4 weeks I have lost 5 kg (11 lbs). Very happy. This is incentive to keep going as I am 30 kg (66 lbs) overweight.
I am on blood pressure tablets – low dosage. I have an old work injury in both knees and they are very painful. Standing up and sitting down are the hardest. Just losing 5 kg (11 lbs) is giving me more ease of movement and increased mobility. I will be 60 this year.
I still work with my husband – running 2 private boarding houses so am quite active. And want to keep working for the next 10 years. So I need to get healthier.
I like the meal plans but am going to try the dairy free now except butter. I drink rice milk in cups of tea- don’t like dairy much.
Thank you so much I feel so much better and can see me doing this as a lifestyle way of eating,
Your website has so much information it has taken a bit of work to figure out how to access it all. Not sure how to tell you how to make it easier. One suggestion is to find a person off the street and watch over their shoulder as they try to navigate through your site.
I have been impressed that I don’t feel hungry on this diet. From the first day, I have been fasting 16 hours a day or more. Just a few weeks ago, I was hungry a lot and would eat a snack in the middle of the night because I would wake up so hungry. I have lost 6 pounds (3 kg) in the past 3 weeks. And I always weigh in the morning after I have a 12 oz (3.5 dl) glass of water plus a 10 oz (3 dl) Bullet coffee. I don’t enjoy all the new flavors of some of the recipes and we are working on that by tossing the ones we don’t like and modifying the ones we kind of like. I have a bad hip and cannot walk much so have cut the protein back a bit and it seems after we cut back, the weight came off.
The amount of information on your site is incredible. The speakers in your videos and conferences are very good communicators. I like the fact that you refrain from pushing products and trying to upsell me on products. It seems like most all my questions have been answered by watching your videos of your interviews or expert speakers. Your videos reinforce the concepts of LCHF with facts, testimonies and research. Your information is not hype and the low-key way everyone speaks is impressive. I looked at several other websites on keto before picking you and you are in a league of your own on quality, consumer help and advice.
Hi there!I am a 59-year old woman from Northland, New Zealand. I loved the combo of shopping list, recipes, encouraging daily e-mails and the fact that the food was so satisfying.
I am a type 1 diabetic and my blood sugar were stable and needed less insulin. I added fruit as suggested.
I am feeling healthier already and want to make this my way of eating permanently.
At the end of my 2 week trial I lost 17 lbs (8 kg). Lowered my daily fast acting insulin from about 500 units/ day to 0. My long acting insulin was cut in half!
Thank you for such a phenomenal, informative website. I have watch hours of your videos and have learned a lot. You have given me the tools I needed to change my life for the better.
I am 48 years old and live on a boat in NZ. I have dieted on and off for the last 20 years and am 20 kg (44 lbs) overweight. It has always been a struggle and therefore I have yoyo:ed and finally given up, accepting how I am.
Now, due to my partner having type 2 diabetes we were looking for a more healthy way of eating, rather than another diet. The keto ‘menu’ (I prefer menu rather than diet) has been easy for the last two weeks. It is ‘normal’ food. I have struggled without sugar but it gets easier every day.The 3 kg (7 lbs) loss in two weeks is an added bonus of eating healthier, rather than a focus. Thank you for the amazing support you offer on your website. We have signed up.
The two-week keto challenge was a winner for me. It helped me understand what eating keto actually means. I discovered it was not hard at all. The meals were tasty and easy and filling. I had no need for any food other than what was suggested.
I also had guidelines for when I ate out at restaurants, which was very helpful. I came to keto by way of 3 1/2 months of eating only animal-sourced foods (no plants), so I had no problems adjusting. I really appreciate the combination of eating schedule, only cooking once a day, recipes and grocery list. Made it less daunting than I would have imagined.
