Denis Mbinga, RN

Nurse

I have been caring for patients with type 2 diabetes, renal failure on dialysis, and with normal weight to obesity. Prescribing the low carb diet has been the best way of managing hyperglycemia, improving weight loss, improving health markers, and preventing and improving insulin resistance. Carbohydrates are currently the biggest portion of African food. Poor people and those with less education are not able to easily access good quality protein. People in my country primarily eat cereal, pasta, and bread. Instead of eating these carbs, eating whole foods including natural proteins, fats, and fruits/vegetables can improve health.
