BIG BIG SMILES, I’ve been using this diet for six days, have been full, not craving sweets which is a great obstacle to leap over in itself. Since day two haven’t had any acid reflux, which has been a large part of my life for over a decade, prescriptions haven’t helped at all.

Well this morning I had to break down and weigh, after all yesterday I had more energy than I can remember having in years, just felt great, even younger… So, in 6 days have lost 5 pounds (2 kg) and 1 1/2″ (4 cm) off the waist.

I plan on making this a healthy lifestyle change, I would like to lose another 50-75 pounds (23-34 kg). I really wish I had taken a full length picture, but have been extremely self conscious about my weight.

I think the challenge was amazing. The meals are delicious, you are never hungry and the most remarkable thing is that you lose weight while eating butter, cream etc…

I don’t have a cholesterol problem so eating healthy fats isn’t an issue, although my doctor showed concern that the amount of fat would elevate my cholesterol. In short… It hasn’t… He thought I had diabetes… I don’t.

Added bonus… Losing 6 kilos (13 lbs). I still miss a slice of toast but don’t miss rice, pasta or potatoes but generally, the LCHF is awesome. I will continue to eat low carb in the future. Thank you, Diet Doctor.

I have been living the LCHF diet for 2 weeks and I’m shocked at how great I feel. The extra energy I have has allowed me to do things that I have never ever done – I biked 54 km (34 miles) since the first of June on my bike!!!!!

The question I have is that although I am clearly losing inches – the scale is not moving!! At first, I lost 11 lbs (5 kg) but then started biking and the weight has come back on the scale. I’m not completely panicked, but my partner isn’t exercising and he has lost 20 lbs (9 kg) already in the same period!!

In summary, myself and my husband both think it’s fantastic!

We have both lost 5.5 pounds (2 kg) over the challenge, this has amazed me after struggling to lose that amount over the last year on a well known low-fat diet. I cannot remember the last time I had this much energy, or when I last slept so well. I feel less stressed and dare I say, happy for the first time in a long time. Something has just clicked with us, it feels so natural and right to eat this way. I’m so glad I came across your site and the menus, they have helped enormously easing us into this way of eating. So a big thank you from us!

One thing I would change about the menus, or would like to have the option of, would be to vary the servings per meal, our son isn’t always at home so it would be nice to be able to change some meals for 2 people and others for 3 when he will be around. It’s not a big deal though I just thought it would be useful 😊
