Julie Donohue, MSN

Nurse

I am a primary care provider in Nashville, TN and my passion is preventative care. I like to practice focusing on the 6 pillars of health (movement, healthy eating, sleep, stress reduction, connection, and purpose/gratitude/joy), with food being my main passion. I think unhealthy eating has contributed to a lot of our modern-day illnesses and I have personally seen how low carb eating can reverse many diseases. In my practice I like to focus on teaching lower carb eating for a variety of diseases (diabetes, hypertension, fatty liver disease, obesity, and metabolic syndrome). I have seen significant improvements in weight reduction and overall quality of life in my patients that have embraced a low carb lifestyle. I think low carb eating can be very sustainable for people and should be looked at as a lifestyle as opposed to just a diet.
