Standard Australian Diet (SAD diet) and obesity are known risk factors associated with colorectal cancer. As a Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy, I perform colonoscopy on many National Bowel Cancer Screening patients. While finding a bowel cancer in early stages is a good outcome, preventing the cancer from happening through diet and lifestyle education is even better. I use Diet Doctor for most of my patients, it is a great resource that facilitates better learning outcomes.
