What’s wrong with the American diet? Most of it, according to a new study.

More specifically, 58% of calories comes from “ultraprocessed” foods that are often stuffed full of added sugars and other bad carbs.

The most popular ultraprocessed foods were breads, cakes, cookies, pies and salty snacks.
