Ketogenic diet with the macro ratio of Doctor Richard K Bernstein
30 grams or less carbs, 15 to 20 percent protein and about 80 percent fat.

Combine this with a Varady like alternate day fast or Jason Fung bone broth every other day
I have found a bone broth soup with seaweed salsa sour cream and salmon great for modified fast day. Eat day is beef eggs vegetables

I am a diet controlled (not very well controlled), type two diabetic. I started with the two week challenge and then started the 7 day fast. On day 4 (yesterday), my fasting glucose dropped from it's normal 5.4 - 5.9 since starting this, to 4.4 (first time in so long I can't remember). That was fantastic BUT, today something amazing happened.
In the last couple of years, I have had to get glasses for my distance vision, and it has steadily been getting worse (apparently caused by age). Today, I was stuck at traffic lights, sitting in my car, looking at the tiny writing under the number plate of the car in front of me. I started thinking how clean my glasses were, when I realized I wasn't wearing any. I could see. It appears my distance vision has returned to normal. I can even see the numbers on the bus stop signs as I'm driving past.
I assume that this is the complete reduction of the swelling of the eye lens, caused by the sugar in the blood? OMG I can't believe it. It is a miracle. I hated wearing glasses!
    Thankyou thankyou thankyou.
