I just finished the two-week challenge and I am so pleased with the results! I am a 61-year old female from South Carolina. I lost 9 lbs (4 kg) and 1 inch (2.5 cm) around my waist. This morning, my blood sugar was down to 89!

The food was delicious and easy to prepare. I loved having the menu available to look ahead at, and the shopping list was a big help. I have not felt hungry between meals. The only downside for me has been eating eggs every morning. I like eggs, but no matter how you prepare them they are still eggs, so a couple of mornings I just fasted. I looked at the other breakfast options, but as you say the easiest, quickest breakfast is eggs.

I enjoyed the two-week challenge. I’m 57 years old and needed to make a diet change. I lost 6 pounds (2.7 kg), and did not go hungry!!

It was easy to stick to, and the recipes are delicious!! Although I only want to lose a few more pounds, going low carb is a lifestyle change that I intend to stick with.

I started this 14-day diet with great intentions but unfortunately came down with a cold at the beginning of the second week when I kind of failed to adhere accurately to the diet. However, I did get my weight down from 103 kg (227 lbs) to 96 kg (212 lbs) and have modified my general diet to reflect a more fat/protein biased intake.

A blood test at the end of the first week regarding type 2 diabetes showed a good reduction in sugars with the levels now back to pre-diabetic levels.

I am an active 71-year old male living in Tauranga BOP New Zealand. I have a residential lawn mowing franchise meaning I walk an average of 6 km (3.7 miles) on weekdays if weather permits.

Your menu gave a good variety and the cook once regime works well. I did change a couple of dishes as salads in the winter were not desired.

I’m 45 years old and 5.5 ft (168 cm) tall. I was 170 lbs (77 kg) and very unhappy with myself. I got tired easily and my hips and knees started to hurt and we have a huge yard that needs lots of care during our short summer here in Alberta, Canada.

So I made a decision to change my diet a day before Easter Sunday because I knew I couldn’t say no to all those different chocolates and cookies, cakes and chips. This is why I started before a holiday. The first three days I was suffering, like feeling really weak and horrible headaches.

But after a week I didn’t even want to go back to my normal eating. I was feeling and sleeping so much better. This is when I found this low carb diet. I’m losing weight and have energy. I have done this now for 11 weeks and I’m down to 151 lbs (69 kg). I’m really happy.


Dear Diet Doctor,
I did this challenge to address inflammation issues/pain in my body (also, to drop some weight). I am 54 years old, female, work as a waitress. Most of the time after I finish work, I feel extremely tired, sore, and bloated.

Believe it or not, within 3-4 days of starting the keto plan, my pain/inflammation/ bloating felt like it was reduced by at least 50 percent, if not more. After two weeks, I have lost 6 pounds, and overall I feel amazing.

I truly wouldn’t have believed that a dietary change could have such immediate results. There is no doubt that I am continuing this way of eating; it is sustainable (I rarely feel hungry), it is healthy, and I feel great!! I can only imagine the results in 6 months, I think I am going to have to go shopping for new clothes! Yayyyyy!
