I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of this approach…scrambled eggs for breakfast every day, leftovers for lunch, and then something new for supper. How easy is that? And even easier for me, as I practice intermittent fasting (16:8), so I only eat twice a day, which makes it easier still!

I am largely vegetarian, (not vegan) so really appreciate recipes (e.g.the delicious mushroom and goat cheese frittata) that rely on eggs, cheese, and vegetables. I have been eating keto for about six months, have lost about 40 lbs (18 kg), and feel wonderful…can’t imagine eating any other way, and just wish I had discovered this earlier in life (I am 76)!

As a physician I have wanted to experience the keto diet for myself. It has been such a success that I am now doing an 8-week experience with my staff and have started implementing these principles with many of my patients.

I have already taken a few off several meds for diabetes and hypertension (something I have almost never done in 31 years of practice!). This has rejuvenated my enthusiasm for medicine and has opened new horizons in giving my patients the treatment they deserve. After years of putting high tech “band-aids” on their metabolic issues, I feel that I now have the tools to get to the root problem. Thank you so much!

I am living in Costa Rica where carbs are the staple of the diet for most of the population.
Rice and beans along with bread are very common items in a Costa Rican home.

This challenge has been fantastic. I’m not hangry anymore…I’m not craving bread or candy like I thought I would. The ideas, guides, and recipes were so helpful.

Going forward I will be sticking to this way of life. I’m done being addicted to sugar and carbs.

I took the challenge and after 14 days I’ve lost 17 pounds (8 kg). It truly is amazing how it works. My wife has lost 10 pounds (4.5 kg). We have a new lifestyle that we will continue. We feel better and a lot of the aches and pains are gone. We have created weekly meal plans and have learned how to eat out as well. Only the first 4 or 5 days were tough and then we got the new mindset that you don’t need sugar and carbs to enjoy your meals.

I will say that one of the most amazing things about the whole process is that we both used to eat breakfast, lunch & dinner and snack in between. Doing the keto challenge we would eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner because we knew we needed it. You do not crave food and most of the time and we were not hungry at our regular meal time. No need to snack at all. I had to buy new pants this weekend and I have to say it feels awesome. I can’t believe more people are not doing the keto challenge. It will change your life.

Thank you! I have just completed the 2-week challenge & it was so easy, so tasty! I loved not having to wonder ‘what do I cook tonight‘. I never felt hungry & the tasty meals were amazing! I lost 6 lbs (2.5 kg) in the first two weeks and my husband lost 6 lbs (2.5 kg) as well.

We are from the UK so we were able to change the measurements over from US to metric. I am a huge biscuit/cake fan & I seriously thought I would crave the lack of sugar – I did not. Just shows that having sugar makes you crave more!

    I tried the 14 day challenge and lost only 1 kg. I am 62 years old, active and eating healthy food. I am struggling to lose at least 3 kg the last few years. I was also doing intermittent fasting at the same time and following only 2 meals with no eating in between. I am continuing this plan to see if I can successfully get rid of the excess 2 kg I still have to get rid off. Thank you for the opportunity.

    I live this woe, in 8 months i have lost 130lbs!!! It is simple. I was bedridden basically and dying a slow death. Today i am alive and headed to life of dancing in the streets!

    Nadia if you already eat really healthy, chances are you didn't have much water weight to lose. With any low carb diet, all you are really losing at the start is water weight. This is usually a huge amount for people because they eat a lot of bread, pizza, pasta etc. but that doesn't mean the diet is not working for you!! I lost 2kg the first fortnight (and never ate much carbs before then) then have lost roughly 0.5-1kg a fortnight since, now down 5kg in 8 weeks! Stick at it :)
