Here's a wonderful peanut-butter sauce recipe, also known as satay sauce. It's very popular with kids because of the sweetness of the peanuts.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz. 400 g coconut cream or coconut milk
  • 1 1 red chili pepper, deseeded and finely choppedred chili peppers, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 1 garlic clove, mincedgarlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup 60 ml tamari soy sauce
  • 13 cup 75 ml peanut butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Instructions are for 6 servings. Please modify as needed.

  1. Mix the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Let simmer on low heat for 5–10 minutes until the sauce is of desired consistency.
  2. Season to taste.

    It is even easier and tastier to buy peanuts, and grind them in a food processor, to create your own peanut butter. No sugar, no salt. Just peanuts, and a teaspoon of arachide oil.

    For those who want a true Thai flavor, replace the soy sauce with a much smaller amount of fish sauce (to taste). Thai recipes do not use soy sauce to make their dishes salty ;)
