Low-carb strawberry smoothie
Ingredients
- 7 oz. 200 g unsweetened coconut milk
- 2½ oz. 75 g fresh strawberries, sliced
- ½ tbsp ½ tbsp lime juice
- ¼ tsp ¼ tsp vanilla extract
11 fl.oz. or 330 ml
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Using canned coconut milk (drain off the liquid) makes a creamier, more satisfying smoothie.
- Add more lime juice if you like.
Tip!
Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil if you want a more filling smoothie.
You may also substitute the coconut milk for 1¼ cups Greek yogurt if you prefer a dairy-based smoothie. If so, add a little water for a more liquid consistency. Have fun!
They all look great and I will be making all of them soon.
Thanks,
We have some of it. :)
If you hover your mouse over the symbol for "Strict/Moderate/Liberal Low Carb" on the pictures for all our recipes then you will get the nutritional facts.
The amount of displayed carbs is net carbs (Total amount of carbs - fiber).
Heavy cream should be fine... (but it's still liberal low carb, I would be a bit careful with it if your goal is weight-loss.)
If you look at the carb content, full fat milk and coconut milk have about the same so from that perspective it should be OK. But this is liberal low carb and look att the serving size, one serving is quite small. So if you are going for weight-loss don't drink to much of it...

Shouldn't it be liquid in mls and fruit in grams.
Is this recipe correct, before I convert it??
We have not tested the recipe with adding protein powder. If you are using a protein powder, make sure and avoid any kind of artificial sweeteners.
Unsweetened almond milk will work as well!
