Low carb: myths that refuse to die
Some carb-centric, mainstream medical doctors continue to resist the mounting evidence that low-carb diets are highly effective for weight loss, reversal of diabetes, and improvement of many other chronic diseases.
Where do these persistent myths of harm come from?
Brazilian physician Dr. Jose Carlos Souto, in a video presentation from Low Carb Denver 2020, describes the four most enduring health myths: that low carb can harm a patient’s kidneys, liver, bones or cause attacks of gout. He deconstructs the complete lack of high quality evidence behind these myths.
In fact, evidence shows the diet helps, not harms these four things, Dr. Souto shows.
