Here are new fantastic stories from the people who’ve taken the challenge:
I loved it! I lost a couple of pounds and got my hunger cravings under control. I’ve been hypoglycemic in the past, and years ago there were times when I would collapse if I went too long without eating (just a few hours), so it was wonderful to start the keto diet and feel so full for hours after eating.
I did indulge in keto desserts (berries and whipped cream) during the first week, because I spotted them in the recipes section and didn’t see anything forbidding them, so I think I slowed my progress, but I put a stop to the desserts for the second week.
The meal plans are great. I signed up for the membership mostly for those. The recipes are quick and easy and I get lunch for the next day, which is perfect. I also restarted intermittent fasting, I had tried it before the keto diet and found it difficult because I was still feeling hungry a lot. Much easier now.
I definitely feel that I’ve made a healthy change for the better. The diet suits me because I love vegetables and full-fat anything, and the meals are simpler to prepare without a carb component.
My name is Maria and I did the challenge together with my husband George. I started at 74 kg (163 lbs) and when the challenge ended I was 71 kg (157 lbs) so all in all I lost 3 kilos (7 lbs). My husband lost 3.5 kg (8 lbs). I liked it very much and I will continue with the meal plans.Just one point. I think the amount of protein in the recipes is too much. After the first few days my weight loss really stalled and I had to reduce protein in order to start losing again. I really liked the recipes and I loved the fact that I didn’t have to cook lunch! All in all it was a great experience. I live in Geneva, Switzerland.
I am 71 in February, and just done one week keto. To my amazement, I lost 3 kg (7 lbs) in that week, I never thought it was possible with all the butter and fat, but it works.
The only thing I struggle with is portions, they are far too big for me. But I am happy with the result. I keep going. I live on the south coast in England.
Hi.I am a 58 year old triple negative breast cancer patient in Chicago, IL, USA. My radiology oncologist suggested the ketonic diet to me. At first it went in one ear and out the other considering I’ve tried so many different “diets” over my adult lifetime. But out of curiosity… I read into the diet and tried some of the recipes, and thought “oh, ok, theses aren’t to bad!”
Back in December, I tried some of the recipes and lost 5 lbs (2 kg). I totally screwed up during the holidays and gained 3 lbs (1 kg) back. At the beginning of this year I signed up for the challenge. I had a few oops moments, but over all I didn’t do to bad. I finished it and lost another 4 lbs (2 kg). My goal is to lose 40 lbs (18 kg), keep it off by making this a lifestyle change!!!
The only problem I have with the recipes is the specialty ingredients and where to find them. I’ve had to search for some substitutes because I was unable to find what I needed. Additional info with the recipe would be helpful.
I am also a paying member of dietdoctor.com. Since completing the challenge I logged in to look for meal plans, etc. I found what I needed and bookmarked it for continued use but the site logged me out. It would be nice if we could stay logged in so that we don’t have to search every time we come back.
Loved the 2-week Diet Doctor challenge! I have never actually followed a ‘plan’ for dieting in my long history of dieting. It was so simple, so easy to prepare the meals (with leftovers) and once I had planned a week worth of meals I really didn’t think about it anymore! I have now joined up and love that EVERYTHING I need to know is right there on your website. Thank you so much!
I am 58 and live in California USA. I lost 10 lbs (5 kg) on the 2-week challenge. I plan to keep on going.
I loved the challenge!I had already started with a keto diet on my own and lost 15 lbs (7 kg). I felt so full of energy and my clothes were fitting so much better! I was telling my son, who is a 3rd year medical student, about my results, I asked him if the keto-type diet was a good diet for someone like me to be on, he said that he had heard so many good things about it and to check out DietDoctor.com. He thought that would help me even more.
I am approx. 50 lbs over weight, I have (hereditary… both parents and grandparents) type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure (also hereditary), and a family history of heart problems and cancer. In other words, I am a walking time bomb. As I am turning 60 in a couple of months, I thought I had better get in control of my health.
Just before Christmas I started looking into the keto diet through the Internet and played with it some and lost weight, but your website seemed to tie it all together. I thought it was an easy plan to follow, though I wasn’t a big fan of some of the meals, I knew how to switch them up here and there.
I have had awesome results with Dr. Atkins in the past, but find it a little difficult to follow now that they have made so many changes, this is similar to that and a good fit for me. I’m scheduled to have some more blood work done in a few weeks, so hopefully, it will show good results. I would like to get off most if not all my medications.
I live on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada and with my new found energy, look forward to the weather drying out so that I can do my regular 5 km (3 mile) walk everyday. I will be signing up for the free month trial as I have hit a stand still with my weight loss, it’s been the same now for 3 days, however, I am fully aware that my body needs some time to adjust and then it will move along to the next phase. So the Keto Diet and the LifeVantage Physic products are working hand in hand for me!
As of today, Jan. 15, I have lost a total of 21 lbs (10 kg), 6 lbs (3 kg) from doing the Diet Doctor, I know the best way to lose weight, is a little at a time, then it will stay off!
I am looking forward to the next month and seeing if I can loose that 50 lbs (23 kg) or at least most of it before my birthday in April.
