Thank you for sending me the daily low-carb challenge! Unfortunately I did not follow it the two weeks not because it wasn’t great but decided after I signed up for it I would go another route to get a kick start and get my cravings under control.

I chose to do 36-hour fasts for 3 days a week – M,W,F. I have the book ‘The Complete Guide to Fasting‘ by Dr. Jason Fung. It has really worked for me – feel better and my cravings have diminished!!

Have lost weight – not sure how much but can tell by my clothes and my abdomen is not bloated. I’m continuing this week but thought I would switch into the two-week challenge by next week. On the days I wasn’t fasting I didn’t always succeed to be low carb.

I’m considering signing up after that for the free membership trial. Have been on your blog many times for recipes etc and have always found it helpful.

The diet is amazing. I have lost 12 lbs (5 kg) in two weeks (I appreciate that a lot of this was water) but it isn’t just the weight, it’s the mental clarity. The videos helped.

The reason I will not continue with membership at the moment is because the meal planners don’t save. I spent a long time swapping and changing the meals, ordered all the food and then the planner disappeared so I couldn’t remember which ones I had purchased for. I’ve only said that as you have asked for suggestions too.

I love Diet Doctor and the principles – as soon as the website is easier to follow and the meal planner saves I would happily pay monthly.

Thank you for producing the 2-week challenge.

I’m 16 days into being LCHF and just getting used to how to lose weight whilst eating high cals, 80% of which is fat, protein and fibre.

I’ve been using my Fitbit food calculator to monitor staying under 20 grams of carbs, this has been useful.

Thought are – it’s the easiest way I’ve ever tried to get into keto, the side effects were minimal, and hunger very minimal. I’m craving more veg, when I added homemade ratatouille I gained weight, so went back to plan.

Weight loss is 8.5 lbs (4 kg) in 15 days, but friends have lost more… I’m 5 ft 7 (170 cm) and 7 lbs (3 kg) under the obese range… 26 lbs (12 kg) off being in. Healthy weight range.


The diet is a huge success for me. Although, the weight is slowly dropping, I’m pleased. I just wish the weight can drop a little faster. Sometimes it seems like my weight fluctuates. I’m following the diet carefully.

Thank you for the free two week diet plan.

In the first week I lost 2 kg (4 lbs) although I didn’t lose anymore, I stuck to to as close as possible sometimes missing a meal here and there, I have lost about 4 cm (2 inches) from my waist, I feel better, less bloated.

As I am gluten intolerant it was not difficult for me to cut out the white stuff and my diet was pretty good before, I am approaching 50 and it’s very difficult to lose weight.

Thanks for the opportunity, each day receiving an email was a great way to keep me motivated, thank you, although I’m a little nervous about that amount of fat in my diet.



Thank you for the great recipes and advice. I failed, but will be starting the week again. I put on 0.5 kg (1 lb) but have toned up.

I started a new job and we do not stop for lunch and can not use a microwave or carry food. I have to buy lunch every day and sometimes the choices weren’t good/keto friendly. I’m going to try and adapt the menu plan to fast through lunch.

I am a retired physician and I really liked it, I miss the fruits so when I get to my ideal weight I will add some. It is a lot of food so I have leftovers and had to shop less.

I went on vacation one week to the beach and still loss weight. 10 lbs (5 kg) and 9 inches (23 cm) 3 weeks later I am happy.

Going to Ireland next week we’ll see how I do without the beer, will go for whiskey.

My cholesterol was 185 with a good ratio I will have it rechecked in 3 months to see if any changes.

The LC challenge has been very revealing to me. I had no idea that my diet was causing me so many health problems, and now I have all the information through your website to take control of my health. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication!

During the challenge I lost 11 lbs (5 kg) and my brain fog, edema, high blood pressure, headaches, insomnia, and sugar cravings are gone! I am finding now that even foods that I thought were fine to eat (like nuts) are not my friend. As soon as I eat even a small amount of nuts the next morning I have gained weight!

I love all the videos on the website and they have really helped me to understand the research and findings. Who knew elevated insulin was the culprit all along! I have incorporated intermittent fasting, and I have never felt better eating just two LC meals a day.

The only thing I found myself wishing for was a handy, printed Diet Doctor cookbook. I know you do not sell anything on your website (which is fantastic) but I think you could include it in your membership fee. Perhaps you could include the price in the first instalment (if people wanted one) and then still charge the $9.00 a month thereafter? Just a thought….

I want to thank you for this amazing website.

My favorite part is getting the email with daily menu each day. Also the email to prepare and get ready was great! I have never been so satisfied with my eating and able to quit snacking so much.

I did amazing the first week, lost 4 pounds (2 kg) and then we were in the flood of Harvey. I had prepared with items I could have for 3 days that didn’t need refrigeration but then no stores open only fast food eventually and so limited in choices, I have just crashed again. I do think that eating LCHF got me through the crisis though wading out in deep water but yet feeling so calm. I want and hope I can get started again soon.

I have gone back to check my emails for each day but the ones I previously received are not online anymore. Just wondering how I would start again so I would get an email again each day?
