Dr. Aseem Malhotra on BBC – We Should Eat a High-Fat Diet

We’ve cut out fat in general, and saturated fat in particular, during the last decades in order to prevent heart disease. That’s clearly been a mistake. We should do the opposite instead says cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra on BBC.

You can watch the full clip above, and hear Dr. Malhotra’s explanation on why lifestyle medicine and a diet rich in fat is the way to go.

The best public appearance I've seen so far by Dr. Aseem Malhotra, totally non apologetic about saturated fat and clear communication on the role of carbohydrates.

He still a bit to careful and won't say that a roasted pork belly is healthy food (yet?). There's absolutely nothing wrong with vegetables and oily fish, but that's not the whole picture

"...clear communication on the role of carbohydrates."

Except that he mostly spoke about "refined carbohydrates,"
    whatever those are.

That kind of equivocating is confusing the general
    public.
