Can you drastically lower your cholesterol, by eating more fat?

The engineer Dave Feldham tried the low-carb diet and felt fantastic… Until his blood tests came back, that is. Apparently, his cholesterol had gone up a lot.

He decided to dig deeper into this and started some fairly extreme self-experimenting. Feldham may have taken more advanced cholesterol tests on himself than anyone else in history. What he has found is highly interesting for anyone wanting to know more about cholesterol on a low-carb diet.

Apparently, you can drastically lower your cholesterol, by eating MORE fat. And that’s not all. Here are some of the things we discuss:

  • Why people get the majority of their energy from LDL particles on low carb
  • The surprising relationship between eating fat and LDL in the short term
  • What are the long-term effect of eating a high-fat diet?

The volume on your videos are not loud enough for normal hearing levels. I have my headphones on and still cannot hear them. Why would I pay for a video when I can't hear the free ones?

High LDL isn't the full picture. There are different subtypes of LDL. It's only small dense LDL particles that are "bad" and I believe there is some research in this area that shows high fat diets actually decrease the amount of small dense LDL.

My cardiologist freaked out when he got my lipid panel back. He increased my statins and added zetia for triglycerides. He won't even consider taking me off the statin although I've asked him to.
I am currently looking for a new cardiologist!
