When I first heard about the low-carb diet I was a carb-fueled sports fanatic training at least two hours a day on average. I noticed that I couldn’t reach satiety even after the second plate of pasta. Even though I considered myself a healthy person, there were several neglected health issues behind the athletic exterior. However, after going low carb, my quarterly respiratory infections disappeared immediately, digestion improved greatly (omelet instead of oatmeal became my staple) and I suddenly wasn’t sleeping at after-meal lectures anymore.
My interest in nutrition and health kept growing and at one point I realized that I want to work in this field and help others. As Sweden isn’t too far away from Latvia, I decided that working at Diet Doctor is the best way to achieve that goal.
