    I don't know if this is the place for this discussion, however here goes. I'e been on LCHF plan since Thanksgiving 2015 till today. I have been battling with Severe Gout attacks ever since. I have been on 40mg of Uloric for 3 months prior to LCHF and continue to be on the medication but still have gout attacks. It gets worse when I do LCHF diet. Please help.

    I'm not an expert (neither medical nor other :) ), but it appears pork meat can worsen gout. Possibly due to high omega6 levels which is inflammatory. Maybe try to watch that the amount of protein does not become excessive as well.

    I don't know if you've experienced significant weight loss during this rather short period of LCHF, but that may also result in increased levels of uric acid in the body.

    WHAT DO YOU EAT A NORMAL DAY?

    Nate: Increase your fat intake and decrease protein. Fat should come from natural sources, like butter, avocado, coconut oil, bacon grease, eggs, nuts, etc. Get at least 70% of your calories from natural fat sources. My guess is you are eating lots of lean protein with veg, and little fat...and this is causing you harm....correct?

    Nate: Drink more water and dont forget to use salt. Works for me.
